Step:

1. You can click the icon below to download the firmwareof K18 Android. UnZip File, The name of the firmware is “3H035_YG00.bin”. Do not change the name of the file, otherwise the projector will not recognize it.
2. Copy the firmware to the root directory of the U disk. Note: Do not put it in other folders. 
3. Insert the U disk into the second USB port of the projector
4. Open “setting” – “system update” – “local update” successively,  and then upgrade according to the prompt. Wait for the projector to restart automatically and use it after the upgrade is completed.

Note: the upgrade process must not be interrupted.

If you are unable to access the Android interface, please follow the steps below to upgrade using a forced upgrade method.

1. Prepare a USB drive smaller than 32GB.

After downloading the firmware, UnZip File 

Copy it to the root directory of the USB drive. Be careful not to put the firmware in the folder.

3. Insert the USB drive into the projector’s USB port.

Then connect the power cord of the projector.

5. Press and hold the power on key until the upgrade progress bar pops up on the screen, and wait for the automatic upgrade.

If the OTA upgrade cannot be done online, It can also be upgraded via U disk

Step:

1. Turn on the projector first
2. First check the Android system version of the projector according to the video guide, and download the corresponding firmware program according to the version. 

Operating the projector, click “setting”-“update”-choose “Online update” , The version of the projector will appear, such as “20210830”,”20211013″

3. You can click the icon below to download the firmware of K18 Smart Version Android. The downloaded file is a compressed file, don’t unzip. The name of the firmware is “update.zip”. Do not change the name of the file, otherwise the projector will not recognize it.
4. Copy the firmware to the root directory of the U disk (Only supports FAT32 format U disk). Note: Do not put it in other folders. 
5. Insert the U disk into the second USB port of the projector
6. Operating the projector, click “setting”-“update”-choose “Local update”-Press the “OK” button several times to enter the upgrade
7. Wait for the upgrade to be completed, and it will automatically shut down and start up

Note: The sequence of upgrade operations cannot be disrupted, and the upgrade process must not be interrupted.

If the above operation method fails to update the firmware, or the projector cannot enter the Android system when it starts up. You can follow the steps below to force the update via a USB flash drive.

Step:

1. Click the icon on the right to download the Android firmware of K18 Smart Version, the downloaded file is a compressed file, unzip it first. The name of the firmware is “usb_update.bin”. Do not change the name of the file, otherwise the projector will not recognize it.
2. Copy the firmware to the root directory of the U disk (Only supports FAT32 format U disk). Note: Do not put it in other folders. 
3. Insert the U disk into the second USB port of the projector
4. Connect the power cord of the projector
5. Then press and hold the power button, the projector will display the upgrade progress bar, and then release the button.
6. Wait for the upgrade to be completed, and it will automatically shut down and start up

About K18 Smart Version Wifi-display Function

With the development of science and technology, in the current Bluetooth function, it is no longer used for Bluetooth to transfer files. The role of Bluetooth is only to transmit sound. The Bluetooth file transfer function has been replaced by APP.

Wifi, Bluetooth, wifi-display (airplay, Miracast, DLNA) are all different functions. The effects are different.

   wifi-display function, the projector displays the image and sound of the mobile phone screen through the mirroring function of the smartphone. This is not achieved using the Bluetooth function. It is achieved through the screen mirroring function that comes with the phone.

Note: Not all Android smartphones support the screen mirroring function. For smartphones that support screen mirroring, there are options similar to this in the “Settings” or “More Functions” options of the smartphone, for example: “Screen mirroing”, “Wifi-display”, “multi-screen”, “screen projection”, “play to”, “media output”, etc.

If the projector’s pre-installed screen mirroring app is not compatible with your Android smartphone, you can also download and install Airscreen, happycast and other apps that support wifi-display on the projector.

Tips：

Some video apps with copyright protection cannot support wireless projection from other devices to the projector. For example, Netflix, iTunes Movie, Google Movie, Amazon Prime do not support this function on some smartphone and computers. All Android system projectors on the market are the same.
